About the role

The Support Specialist role plays a crucial part in ensuring the quality and accuracy of scientific data, supporting the company's mission to empower people worldwide to live healthier at every stage of life.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality checks of scientific data.
  • Generate data tables for inclusion in scientific reports.
  • Review data summaries for accuracy and format.
  • Verify entry into computerized systems for accuracy of entry.
  • Generate and review ancillary information such as chromatography for inclusion in scientific reports.
  • Work with electronic publishing software to assist in the submission of scientific documents to regulatory agencies.
  • Aid in meeting reporting goals through open communication with project managers.
  • Support for computerized laboratory systems used in bioanalytical testing.
  • Assist in the creation of training materials and training activities to enhance the level of user understanding and system usage.
  • Perform user acceptance testing and/or qualification testing on laboratory systems.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 0-2 years of experience.
  • Good communication, research, and writing skills.
  • Accuracy and detail orientation.
  • A basic understanding of general networking and computing architecture, application lifecycle management.
  • Advanced computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Visual Basic, or similar programming language and instrumentation specialty software.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry practice and regulations including GMPs, GAMP 5, 21 CFR Part 11, Annex 11, and MHRA/FDA Data Integrity (plus).
  • Ability to educate/communicate issues and techniques to individuals of various backgrounds and levels of understanding.
  • Ability to work effectively with internal and external team members.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret general business documents.
  • Ability to write routine reports and general business correspondence.
  • Ability to work with peers and communicate basic concepts.
  • Ability to perform computations such as percentages, ratios, and rates.
  • Ability to solve problems with complex variables through non-standardized solutions that require independent judgment and analysis.
  • Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading and writing English.

Qualifications

  • Typically sitting at a desk or table.
  • Intermittently sitting, standing, walking, or stooping.
  • May be required to stand; walk; stoop; bend; kneel; and climb steps.
  • May require use of hands and use of arms.
  • Medium lifting requirements.
  • Normal office and laboratory situation.

Skills
