Support Services Teacher - Lincoln Trail
Job Summary
Lincoln Trail Elementary School is hiring a Support Services Teacher to provide targeted instructional and behavioral supports to students needing additional academic, social-emotional, and/or behavioral interventions. This full-time position begins in the 2026-2027 school year.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized and small-group instruction aligned with IEP goals and objectives.
- Implement and monitor behavioral intervention plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and problem-solving teams to support student needs.
- Maintain accurate recordkeeping and documentation.
- Communicate student progress with staff and parents/guardians.
- Maintain high ethical standards and protect the confidentiality of student information.
Qualifications
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS-1 certification required.
- Willingness to be trained in crisis prevention and pass a physical ability test.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and families.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Pay
Please see the attached current 2025-2026 Salary Schedule (our existing 4-year collective bargaining agreement expired at the end of the 2025-2026 school year and we are currently negotiating a new agreement that will begin with the 2026-2027 school year).
