Role Description: Mahomet-Seymour High School is currently hiring for a Support Services Teacher to provide targeted instructional and behavioral supports to students requiring additional academic, social-emotional, and/or behavioral interventions. This position collaborates with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to implement evidence-based interventions that promote student achievement and well-being. This is a full-time position that will begin with the 2026-2027 school year. Responsibilities:Provide general education support, as well as individualized and small-group instruction aligned with IEP goals and objectives.Implement and monitor behavioral intervention plans.Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and problem-solving teams to support student needs.Monitor progress on IEP goals and objectives.Communicate student progress with staff and parents/guardians.Ensure accurate recordkeeping and documentation.Maintain high ethical standards and protect the confidentiality of student information. Qualifications:Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS-1 certification is required.Applicants must be willing to be trained in crisis prevention and able to pass a physical ability testDemonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and familiesStrong communication and organizational skills Salary: Please see the attached current 2025-2026 Salary Schedule (our existing 4-year collective bargaining agreement will expire at the end of the 2025-2026 school year and we will be negotiating a new agreement that will begin with the 2026-2027 school year).
