About the role

Damar is a not-for-profit organization providing behavioral health and I/DD services since 1967. The Support Services Coordinator will assist families in selecting independent contractors, monitor contractor hours, review invoices, evaluate services, and manage client finances.

Responsibilities

  • Assist families in selecting independent contractors to provide services as defined by the NOA
  • Monitor independent contractor hours to ensure they align with family needs and do not exceed the NOA
  • Review contractor invoices and process payments
  • Evaluate contracted services to ensure compliance with contract terms and regulations
  • Notify relevant management and regulatory agencies of incidents within required timeframes
  • Ensure ISP/BSPs of assigned clients are implemented
  • Monitor client finances and ensure expenses are paid in a timely manner, if required
  • Conduct bi-weekly assessments to ensure client and family satisfaction
  • Audit client files on a monthly basis or more frequently as needed
  • Ensure a safe, healthy, and clean living environment for clients
  • Effectively respond and manage crisis situations, using verbal intervention or physical management techniques as necessary

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED with 4 years of full-time experience in neuropsychiatric or behavioral challenges and/or I/DD
  • Associate’s degree with 2 years of full-time experience in neuropsychiatric or behavioral challenges and/or I/DD
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
  • Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record meeting Damar’s insurance carrier requirements
  • Clear of felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect, and other disqualifying criminal convictions
  • Favorably meet and maintain Damar’s background screening

Qualifications

  • At least 18 to work in Community Living and Support Services program, at least 21 to work in Children's Residential program
