Support Professional

Role Overview: A Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides essential hands-on support to individuals with disabilities in a residential setting, helping them achieve independence and improve quality of life. Key Responsibilities Assist with personal grooming, hygiene, and daily living tasks.Support medication management and monitor health emergencies, including CPR and First Aid response.Transport residents to appointments and facilitate daily routines, household chores, and social activities.Respond professionally to behavioral or medical incidents, adhering to crisis prevention and de-escalation procedures.Plan and assist with meal preparation, perform light housekeeping, and ensure residents' bedroom maintenance. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or GED required.Ability to pass criminal background checks and possess a valid driver’s license.Preferred prior DSP experience.Must complete and maintain certifications in CPR, First Aid, safety, abuse prevention, medication administration, and other mandated trainings.Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and transferring, and maintain a calm, professional demeanor in challenging situations.
