Support Prep Cook

Flour Bakery + Cafe is looking for experienced Support Prep staff for a full time position at our production kitchen in the Seaport! In this position, you will complete Support prep list items on the daily production list as written by BK Production Support Chef, BK Savory Production Chefs or BK Savory Production Shift Leads. Prioritize items each day based on which loop the items travel and communicate any issues with timing. Assist all co-workers within the kitchen and adjust workload when necessary. Day-to-day Performance Expectations: Provide support for coworkers in order to ensure prep is being done efficiently. Follow all recipes and techniques in pastry and savory food preparation. Be another set of eyes on ingredient quality from vendor and overall Mom testProvide constructive feedback as neededHandle food and clean stations per standard sanitation procedures. Assist with kitchen upkeep and deep cleaning tasks when production list is completeAssist with checking in ordering from BKHelp maintain an orderly and clean kitchenCheck-in each day when you arrive and leave with the Production Shift Leader or Production ChefInventory finished product and write appropriate prep lists that meet all finished good parsPrioritize items each day based on which loop the items travel and communicate any issues with timing.All other duties as assigned Skills for Qualification: Ability to stand for long periods, walk, push, pull, reach, and lift Able to take feedback and directionAdhere to BK uniform policyPerformance that consistently demonstrates an active passion for Flour and our missionEager to learnOpen to feedback and committed to continuous improvementExcellent attendance, reliability, communication and interpersonal skillsReadily adaptable to change with attention to detailEmbraces new information and learns quicklyActively problem solves using sound judgmentEffective time managementProfessional kitchen experience preferredMaintain grooming and uniform standards Compensation: This starting pay rate for this position is $18 per hour, with a total pay range of $18-$23.55.
