About the role

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Support Coordinator to support the Materials Management team in Hazelwood, MO. This role encompasses the duties of Production Material Coordinator, Crater & Packer, and Material Handler-Specialist.

Responsibilities

• Expedite, coordinate all scheduled job assignments, and clear up holdups
• Receiving, moving, storage, and inventory of material, parts, equipment, tools, part kits, and supplies
• Process and issue tools, parts, materials, and other items as necessary, including storage, inventory, and delivery
• Obtain, sort, load, unload, pull, move, and record items
• Report tool crib storage items that are obsolete, require inspection, or are damaged
• Operate hand, power, automated, and electronic equipment such as lift trucks, saws, hoists, and cranes
• Layout and fabricate shipping containers of various sizes
• Construct, repair, and assemble a variety of shipping containers
• Properly tie down, block, and brace containers in transportation vehicles
• Use measuring instruments, woodworking machine tools, and other equipment as required
• Assist in maintaining, investigating, and correcting discrepancies in automated data relative to work orders on the production floor
• Electronic data input or retrieval as required

Physical Demands

• Limited (0-1 Hrs): Crawling, lying down (back, front, side), forceful grasping
• Occasional (1-3 Hrs): Lifting, pushing, pulling, and supporting up to 35 lbs; bending at the waist, kneeling, crouching, squatting, reaching; climbing, balancing, stooping, working on ladders
• Frequent (3-6 Hrs): Exposure to noise; lifting, pushing, pulling up to 35 lbs; standing, reaching, handling, turning
• Exposure to moving parts and occasional exposure to high/exposed places
• Ability to operate a forklift, tug, scooter, or other vehicles as necessary
• Position requires eye, hearing, and other personal protective equipment

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ year experience in inventory, stock, or supply chain

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift Operator Experience
• Experience using computers, including typing and utilization of Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Word)

This is an hourly position governed by the IAM 837 Collective Bargaining agreement. All new employees, rehires without seniority, or transfers from outside of IAM 837 jurisdiction shall be regarded as probationary during their first 120 calendar days of employment. Continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of any required training and the probationary period.

Schedule

• 100% onsite at one of the listed location options in Hazelwood, MO
• Must be able to work any shift assigned

Pay

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay range: $21.00/hourly – $49.78/hourly.

Security Clearance

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
