About the role

The Substitute Special Education teacher will provide instruction to students in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Responsibilities

• Teach subjects aligned with the student’s IEP goals.
• Implement classroom management strategies to maintain a safe and productive learning environment.
• Collaborate with other special education teachers and related service providers to support student progress.
• Adhere to all state and federal regulations regarding special education services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
• Current Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate in Special Education.
• Experience working with students with disabilities is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of special education laws and regulations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Strong organizational skills to manage lesson plans and materials.

• Proficiency in using educational technology tools.
