Supply Quality Technician

Responsibilities
- Read part drawings, specifications, and instructions to comprehend the quality expectations for the parts and materials
- Approve or reject raw materials with respect to quality standards and record supplier performance
- Perform incoming inspections on parts received from vendors
- Provide feedback to management on the quality of the materials received in inspection
- Set and use a variety of precision instruments
- Work from inspection checklists and work instructions used on the production floor
- Keep detailed required inspection records
- Develop, program, and optimize CMM inspection routines
- Lead first article inspections (FAI) and ensure compliance with standards such as ISO 9001
- Set up parts and fixtures for accurate CMM measurement
- Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T to verify part conformance
- Review and validate inspection results and reports
- Identify and document non-conformance and notify appropriate personnel of potential rejection of items
- Serve as a technical authority for dimensional inspection and metrology
- Select output samples and check them using appropriate methods (measuring dimensions, testing functionality, comparing to specifications, etc.)
- Prepare and submit reports to the Supply Quality Manager
- Review and inspect parts from production, engineering, and directly from suppliers as needed
- Follow established job safety practices, policies, and procedures as specified in plant directives for the safe performance of daily activities
- Continuously evaluate processes for improvements in efficiency, quality, and safety
Requirements
- Knowledge of measuring devices and test equipment to support inspection and testing of all parts and sub-assemblies as needed
- Must be able to read blueprints and be capable of calculating print dimensions, angles, radii, etc.
- Must have a working knowledge of production processes and product requirements
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Willing to cross-train to support different products as needed
- Proven experience as a quality inspector or relevant role
- A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach
- Responsible and trustworthy
- Familiarity with quality testing machines and systems
- Thorough knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies
- Working knowledge of MS Office
- Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs

Pay
Competitive base salary range: $25.75 - $34 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule
This role primarily operates in an office/lab/manufacturing environment. Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs. may be required. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this role.
