Responsibilities
- Maintain supplier quality performance through Supplier Score cards and other process.
- Manage the SCAR’s program which includes issuing SCARs and ensuring that the SCAR’s are returned, completed correctly, and validated.
- Collaborate with engineering, production personnel, and Quality Engineer to solve production quality issues created by the Supplier.
- Communicate with suppliers to ensure all quality requirements are met, such as Heat Cert, DoC, packaging standards.
- Review and approve new change requests for current approved parts (internal/external).
- Coordinate with Design engineering and Quality Engineer for new product and component design changes.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain (local/global) and Engineering for new supplier qualification and approvals.
- Manage the New Supplier approval process according to the QMS.
- Evaluate, validate, and approve new KPAP’s documents for new parts or revisions.
- Ensure QMS documents reflect the new supplier/part requirements.
- Question defects and provide future solutions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Adequately adhere to all quality requirements within the Quality Management System.

Requirements (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
- Read engineering drawings and have good knowledge of GD&T.
- Use different tools from the Quality toolbox to solve problems.
- Work independently without general supervision (self-motivated).
- Communicate effectively with all levels of personnel and management, both internal and external.
- Prepare and maintain controlled documents for the QMS.
- Handle multiple changes and respond quickly to a fast-paced environment.
- Perform duties in an assertive, hands-on manner with good attention to detail.
- Show good project/time management skills.
- Show excellent organizational skills with the ability to perform multiple tasks and obtain results within strict time frames.
- Have exposure to a metal fabrication and welding operation (a plus).
- Have good analytical problem-solving skills.
- Understand basic statistical concepts.
- Be a fast learner with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Exhibit good interpersonal skills and promote teamwork.
Education and Experience (Required Levels)
- Three to five (3-5) years of experience in an ISO 9001 or IATAF 16949 manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent discipline or equivalent work experience.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, reaching with hands, arms, and shoulders.
- Occasional walking, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling.
- Frequent talking and hearing.
- Hand lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds.
