Supply Planner I

About the role
The Supply Planner I is an integral part of the supply chain team, responsible for Purchase Order execution to maintain optimal inventory levels and meet business objectives. This role focuses on purchase order management and cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless operations. The ideal candidate excels in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, proactively addressing challenges in supplier management, logistics, compliance, and quality assurance. Success in this role directly impacts customer satisfaction and operational efficiency, making it a vital contributor to GGG’s overall performance.
Responsibilities
- Execute and manage purchase and distribution orders based on MRP requirements and at the direction of the senior planning team.
- Coordinate with international suppliers to confirm production schedules, order progress, and delivery timelines.
- Partner with logistics, import clearance, and warehouse teams to ensure timely arrival and clearance.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain Team senior planners and team leads to optimize planning and stocking parameters considering forecasts, lead times, safety stock, shelf life, MOQs, and transportation needs.
- Proactively monitor inventory to minimize excess, aging, expired, or dead stock, escalating issues to relevant stakeholders as necessary.
- Ensure adherence to KPIs, including PO volume, accuracy, costing, fill rate, DIOH, spoils, dead stock, and planned vs. manual order generation.
- Align and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or related field and/or equivalent experience in the food industry.
- Experience using ERP systems, preferably Infor M3.
- Strong understanding of procurement, logistics, and inventory management best practices.
- Demonstrable experience using MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, v-lookups).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Pay
Salary range: $65,000 – $75,000, plus bonus. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
Location
Our company will be relocating to a new corporate headquarters in Madison, NJ in Q1 of 2027. Candidates should be comfortable with this upcoming change in location.
