Key Responsibilities
- Issue purchase orders and manage supplier commitments to ensure timely fulfillment of material requirements.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules with suppliers to optimize cost and supply reliability.
- Maintain on-time delivery performance by monitoring supplier performance using key metrics such as On-Time-In-Full (OTIF).
- Resolve supply disruptions, shortages, or delays to minimize operational impact.
- Communicate demand forecasts and replenishment plans with suppliers to support production planning and inventory availability.
- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules aligned with customer demand, available capacity, and material availability.
- Monitor schedule adherence and production performance, proactively identifying and resolving constraints that may impact delivery timelines.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance planning, scheduling efficiency, and operational performance.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Operations, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in purchasing, production planning, or inventory control.
- Experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP/MRP systems.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis).
- Ability to analyze data and translate into actionable supply plans.
- Self-starter, a team player, result-oriented with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify process inefficiencies and support operational improvements.
Pay
The estimated salary range for this position is $80,000 to $90,000 plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
