Supply Planner
About the role
The primary role of the Supply Planner is to drive effective replenishment decisions in line with predefined parameters, using data such as sales forecasts, marketing projections, and demand plans to ensure inventory availability on time and at cost.
Responsibilities
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction with the timely fulfillment of dynamic customer demand and by driving effective replenishment of planned inventory.
- Create and submit purchase orders and work with suppliers to verify and maintain expected lead times while following purchasing through fulfillment.
- Own the inventory life cycle through the end of life.
- Maintain key performance indicators and analyze data as needed to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Identify potential barriers in fulfillment and assess alternative replenishment sources to fulfill orders.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to resolve issues and develop a recovery plan.
- Minimize unproductive on-hand inventory to reduce financial impact on our business.
- Plan designated materials (finished goods) that are aligned with planning parameters, sales forecast, inventory targets, and available capacity.
- Support business execution of new programs and initiatives that include promotional activities, forecast and coordination for key events, new product launches, and network redesigns.
Requirements
- Strong analytic and strategic problem-solving ability
- Proficient skill in Microsoft products
- Experience with large sets of data in analysis and reporting
- Results-oriented driver of change and progress
- Passionate & self-motivated
- Business Acumen: understand cross-functional partnerships and responsibilities
- Capable Communicator: effective communication across various levels of the business (peers, coworkers, leadership, executives)
- Preferred Degree or related career experience
- 3 to 5 years of business experience with a focus on Supply Planning, Purchasing, and Procurement
