Supply Clerk
Hourly pay: $24.00 - $25.00
About the role
This is an hourly non-exempt position reporting to the Buyer/Material Manager. The Storeroom Clerk is responsible for processing receipts, issuing parts, accepting deliveries, processing outgoing shipments, working with vendor managed inventories and suppliers, managing storeroom housekeeping projects, and maintaining cyclical and bulk inventories. The clerk also handles storeroom audits to ensure inventory count compliance, maintains relationships with suppliers, and provides strong customer service, including finding parts and resolving issues.
Responsibilities
- Process receipts and issue parts
- Accept deliveries and process outgoing shipments
- Work with vendor managed inventories and suppliers
- Manage storeroom housekeeping projects
- Maintain cyclical and bulk inventories
- Conduct storeroom audits to ensure inventory count compliance
- Maintain relationships with suppliers
- Provide customer service, including finding parts and resolving problems
- Demonstrate strong performance in safety, attendance, involvement, attitude, productivity, and learning/development
- Create and maintain detailed records
- Document hazardous conditions and ensure remedial action is taken
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- College degree in a related field preferred
- Advanced computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent communication skills and strong customer service orientation
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail
- Experience with inventory control/auditing
- Excel and SAP (or other parts management system) experience preferred
- Previous storeroom and/or warehouse experience preferred
- Working knowledge of parts and equipment (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to obtain forklift certification and operate a forklift required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a routine basis
- Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
