About the role
The Supply Clerk position at Obsidian Solutions Group supports Army supply operations by providing logistical, administrative, and record-keeping support. Key responsibilities include maintaining supply records, inputting and tracking supply transactions, performing clerical tasks, conducting inventory checks, and supporting supply operations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain supply records, files, and documentation in accordance with Army supply procedures and regulations.
- Input, update, and track supply transactions using GCSS-Army.
- Receive, store, issue, and turn in materials, parts, and equipment while maintaining accurate accountability.
- Perform clerical tasks such as typing correspondence, filing records, and organizing supply documents.
- Conduct inventory checks and assist with reconciliation of discrepancies.
- Support property accountability by updating hand receipts, tracking equipment, and ensuring accurate record keeping.
- Communicate effectively with personnel, vendors, and leadership to support supply operations.
- Prepare supply reports, documentation, and administrative paperwork as required.
- Maintain an orderly supply area and ensure materials are properly labeled, stored, and safeguarded.
- Aid logistics personnel and leadership with day-to-day supply tasks to support mission readiness.
Requirements
- Active Secret clearance required.
- High school diploma.
- Basic computer skills.
- Clerical skills including typing, filing, and record keeping.
- Strong communication skills.
- One year of experience using Global Combat Support System–Army (GCSS-A).
- Minimal background/experience: Five years of experience in one of the following roles: Material recording clerk, Production clerk, Stock clerk, Material and product inspector, Military automated logistical specialist.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of the Army Supply System.
- Familiarity with Army supply regulations.
Skills
- Knowledge of Army supply procedures and regulations.
- Basic computer skills.
- Clerical skills including typing, filing, and record keeping.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience using GCSS-Army.
- Five years of experience in material recording, production, stock, material and product inspection, or military automated logistical specialist roles.
