About the role
Chemours is seeking a Supply Chain Transformation Lead – Process & Technology to join our Supply Chain Center of Excellence. This position will be based at the Wilmington Office Buildings location in Wilmington, DE. This role will serve as a critical bridge between Supply Chain and Commercial business teams and Chemours' IT, Data & Analytics, Digital, and AI organizations.
Responsibilities
- Understand complex Supply Chain and Commercial processes and identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, automate, and improve how work is performed.
- Lead current-state and future-state process design across order fulfillment, planning, customer, commercial, and related business processes.
- Challenge manual, spreadsheet-based, legacy, and person-dependent processes and develop sustainable approaches that can scale across business units.
- Translate business challenges and requirements into clear process, data, system, and technology requirements for IT, Data & Analytics, Digital, and application-development teams.
- Identify opportunities to use automation, analytics, AI, and digital technologies to improve Supply Chain and Commercial processes.
- Stay current on emerging Supply Chain technologies, enterprise applications, data platforms, low/no-code solutions, and AI capabilities.
- Audit whether business processes and underlying data are sufficiently standardized and reliable to support automation and AI adoption.
- Partner with internal teams, vendors, and external experts to evaluate potential technology solutions and determine their applicability to Chemours business needs.
- Influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive transformation initiatives in a highly matrixed organization without direct authority.
- Understand how ERP, master data, analytical platforms, applications, and other enterprise technologies support end-to-end Supply Chain and Commercial processes.
- Partner with business process owners, IT, data teams, application owners, and functional SMEs to determine the data, systems, and technology capabilities required to support future-state processes.
- Evaluate existing and emerging technology solutions and help determine when Chemours should enhance an existing platform, develop an internal solution, or evaluate an external solution.
- Lead the business design, implementation, adoption, and continuous improvement of applications, dashboards, analytical tools, and workflows in partnership with technical development teams.
- Help establish the trusted data foundation required to support automation, advanced analytics, AI-enabled processes, and next-generation decision-support tools.
- Partner across business units and functions to establish process ownership, roles and responsibilities, KPIs, governance, and sustainable support models.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Analytics, Information Systems, Technology, Operations, or another related technical or business discipline.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in Supply Chain, Commercial Operations, Business Transformation, Business Process Improvement, Digital Transformation, enterprise systems, or a closely related area.
- Strong understanding of Supply Chain and/or Commercial business processes within a manufacturing or similarly complex operating environment.
- Experience working with ERP-enabled business processes, preferably including SAP or another major enterprise ERP platform.
- Experience supporting or transforming processes such as order fulfillment, order-to-cash/sales-to-cash, supply planning, master data, customer operations, or related end-to-end business processes.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into process, system, application, data, and technology requirements that technical teams can execute.
- Working knowledge of enterprise data concepts including master data, data quality, data models, source systems, analytical platforms, and data governance.
- Experience leading significant process improvement, digital transformation, system implementation, or business-application modernization efforts.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional change, challenge existing ways of working, influence without direct authority, and deliver sustainable solutions in a matrixed environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across business, technical, and leadership audiences.
Qualifications
- Experience in chemical, specialty materials, industrial manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or another complex global manufacturing environment.
- Experience with technologies such as SAP/HANA, BW, Microsoft Fabric, Synapse/CDW, Dataverse, Power Platform/Power Apps, Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau, or equivalent enterprise platforms.
- Experience modernizing spreadsheet-based, legacy, or locally managed processes into standardized and scalable enterprise solutions.
- Experience with AI-enabled business transformation, automation, digital Supply Chain solutions, data governance, or enterprise application modernization.
- Broad business exposure across Supply Chain, Commercial, Manufacturing, Finance, and/or Customer Operations.
- Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt, APICS CPIM/CSCP, Product Owner, Project Management, or another relevant business-process, Supply Chain, or transformation certification.
