Supply Chain Technician, Tuesday - Sunday, 10:00 pm - 6:30-am

Essential Responsibilities

  • Put away supplies into Med-Surge areas.
  • Scan inventory labels to generate replenishment orders for both stock and non-stock items.
  • Pick supplies from storage locations for distribution and placement into Case Carts, and restock Exchange Carts such as Code (Crash) Carts and Procedural Carts/Trays.
  • Check various supply locations for product expiration dates and removal according to policy.
  • Assist with special projects.
  • Deliver supplies and packages to various nursing units, clinics, and other locations utilizing appropriate signature technologies.
  • Answer phone calls and emails and respond to customer service requests.
  • Perform issues and credits in the Materials Management Information System (MMIS), ensuring the cost of the items are allocated appropriately.
  • Utilize various computer technologies such as handhelds, package scanners, and software programs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace and ensure par locations are free of dirt, dust, and trash.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education Requirements: High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience Requirements: 0-3 years of professional experience preferred.
  • Licenses/Certifications/Registrations: None required.
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Typing, use of computers, computer software, and the ability to learn software applications necessary in the performance of typical work; Proficiency in utilizing the MMIS; Knowledge of general office equipment such as fax machines, copy machines, box cutters and printers; Ability to work in a busy, high-pressure environment; Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders to include coworkers, management, and clinical partners; Demonstrated proficiency in English, both written and verbal, including active listening; Demonstrated proficiency in customer service and problem solving; Ability to operate pallet jacks; Day to day duties include bending, pulling, pushing and lifting up to 40-50 lbs; Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time; Ability to cover multiple areas at any time.
