Job Description
The Supply Chain (SC) Technician II position is responsible for maintaining inventory and distribution of goods throughout the facility. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, maintaining accurate inventory levels utilizing the inventory management system, requisitioning of orders, receiving and distribution of goods, coordinating product conversions and recalls. The position will also be responsible for coordinating special requests and/or vendor returns for departments as needed and providing superior customer service. This position acts as a supply liaison for their assigned department handling all the area's supply needs.
Essential Functions
- Maintain accurate inventory levels using the inventory management system to generate orders/requisitions to include stock, nonstock and non-file items as needed.
- Performs cycle counts.
- Responsible for inspection and receipt of incoming goods as needed, documenting, and resolving discrepancies when noted.
- Receives and distributes medical supplies and equipment to areas throughout the hospital to support quality patient care.
- Maintains compliance with all company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.
- Complies with HIPAA privacy and security requirements to maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Maintains clean and orderly stock locations.
- Acts as liaison between clinical staff and supply chain management as needed.
- Maintains various carts used for patient care.
- Point of contact for questions related to ordering and shipments.
- Assists assigned department(s) with bringing in new needed supplies.
- Assists in other duties as assigned.
Additional Job Description
- Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D (required)
- Experience: Prior inventory management experience
- Licensure: Valid Driver’s License
- Certification: N/A

- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Prior warehouse or inventory control in healthcare setting preferred but not required; ability to deal with conflict and handle difficult situations.
- Language Ability: Strong written and oral communication skills. Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to break down problems or tasks. Scanning one’s own knowledge and experience to identify causes and consequences of events.
- Computer Skills: Light computer work to include basic computer knowledge and working knowledge of Microsoft applications.
