Supply Chain Technician — Lorain Hospital

About the role

The Supply Chain Tech is responsible for the receiving, storage, distribution, and stocking of supplies, materials, and equipment. The role also includes providing customer service, maintaining security, executing policies and procedures, picking up and transporting soiled equipment, and understanding basic mail/copy center functions.

Responsibilities

• Filling out all required documentation accurately and completely
• Maintaining the security of storeroom supplies, equipment, and departmental keys
• Reporting all unsafe conditions and threats to usability of supplies and equipment
• Ensuring only non-patient chargeable items or approved patient-chargeable items are stocked in designated areas
• Remaining professional and accommodating to patients, physicians, staff, visitors, vendors, and other customers
• Performing all other duties as assigned by Supply Chain Management including Supervisor, Coordinators, and Team Leaders
• Executing receiving and delivery policies and procedures, including handling compressed gasses and hazardous materials
• Completing cycle counts in all inventoried areas assigned by Supply Chain Management
• Picking up and transporting soiled equipment throughout the hospital, ensuring proper cleaning based on procedure
• Understanding and performing basic functions of the mail/copy center as needed

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience in task prioritization and excellent customer service
