About the role

Responsible for supporting department processes by providing excellent customer service as well as process and task knowledge to other associates, including all inventory control transactions. Oversees and/or completes tasks associated with inventory control such as scanning products, picking orders, restocking par carts, inventory locations, and point-of-use systems. Additional responsibilities include receiving supplies, verifying data accuracy, re-ordering supplies, and troubleshooting critical supply issues.

Responsibilities

  • Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
  • Performs Supply Chain Technician and Supply Chain Technician Senior tasks.
  • Masters INFOR modules appropriately (according to assignment) including Par Specialist, Purchasing Receiver, Inventory Management, Warehouse Clerk, and Mobile Supply Chain Management.
  • Applies critical thinking skills to tasks and operations to ensure accuracy and policy compliance while providing excellent service.
  • Troubleshoots critical supply order issues, providing status, ETA, and/or options, and communicates with leadership as necessary.
  • Researches product availability from alternate vendors, CHRISTUS facilities, or external entities during critical outages; sets up transport as appropriate.
  • Reviews all Supply Chain and ancillary technology systems for appropriate action.
  • Assists leadership in determining appropriate substitutions by collaborating with other MM staff, system leaders, and local clinical staff.
  • Assists with Contract Launch Packet rollouts by verifying process steps.
  • Makes appropriate changes to pars as directed by leadership.
  • Supports supply chain and clinical staff with a high level of product knowledge.
  • Performs receiving functions and interfaces with Procurement as assigned.
  • Responds to requests from the INR/RNI team.
  • Provides excellent customer service and communicates changes to customers and staff as appropriate.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in MS Office Suite and Supply Chain Applications.
  • Meets deadlines in fast-paced environments while adapting to different situations and maintaining exceptional decision-making skills.
  • Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 3-4 years of relevant work experience preferred.
  • 2 years of supply chain experience preferred (Inventory Control, Procurement, Planning, Operations).
  • 1 year of demonstrated computer experience preferred.
  • Medical product and equipment knowledge preferred.
  • Hospital supply chain experience preferred.
