The Supply Chain Technician is responsible for supply delivery and inventory management in assigned areas, ensuring prompt and safe services for patient care while promoting a safe work environment at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize computer technology software and devices to enter all inventory data into the Supply Chain Management software system.
  • Maintain electronic and/or hardcopy records, including obtaining signatures at time of delivery in handheld devices.
  • Pick and pack supply chain orders accurately and timely, minimizing the need for sorting contents at putaway.
  • Assist Receiving Clerks and/or Managers in the receiving process, including unboxing, counting, documenting, and sorting deliveries.
  • Transport products to campus and satellite locations via Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta motor vehicle, including box trucks and vans (DeKalb Industrial Warehouse).
  • Deliver supplies to customers, obtain signatures in handhelds, and close out delivery tickets.
  • Maintain Supply Chain Inventory locations using technology-supported devices, including rotating stock (FIFO), monitoring for expired product, keeping areas organized and clean, completing cycle counts, and entering replenishment orders.
  • Respond to all customer requests in a timely, courteous, and friendly manner; assist with accurate product selection and locating; escalate to leaders when needed.
  • Charge all Supply Chain disbursements accurately and timely, including processing returns and credits.
  • Conduct expiration date verification and report findings to the Manager or designee.
  • Assist in the returns process for stock and non-stock to ensure timely credits.
  • Support and participate in continuous assessment and improvement of the quality of services provided by Supply Chain.
  • Adhere to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta's time and attendance policy.
  • Pick up, sort, and deliver mail; timely and accurately meter mail and ensure all unidentified mail is properly investigated (mailroom only).
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Utilize all necessary communication devices, including landline telephones, smartphones, Android, and other electronic devices.
  • Learn and understand all other Supply Chain responsibilities as needed for job completion.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Georgia driver’s license and insurable driving record (warehouse technicians only).

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of experience in hospital healthcare distribution.
  • Experience with Workday and Omnicell or similar Materials Management Information System and Supply Management Solution.
  • Experience with technology-supported devices to manage inventory.

Skills

  • Experience with software applications (e.g., Microsoft Outlook and Word).
