About the role

Penrose Hospital is seeking a Supply Chain Tech to manage inventory in assigned Nursing and/or Ancillary units. The role involves maximizing quality, minimizing costs, and supporting department goals within system supply chain objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the liaison to Nursing to provide working knowledge of product lines associated with the Nursing and/or Ancillary unit(s) assigned.
  • Support Supply Chain Management to ensure existing inventory and associated expenses are within par level targets.
  • Ensure consumable supplies are accurately controlled to reduce obsolescence, outdates and waste within the assigned unit(s).
  • Act as liaison for all replenishment orders, managing recalls and product conversions within their areas of assigned responsibility to include proper supply levels, labeling and PAR Level changes in Lawson to ensure that assigned units have accurate PAR Level Min/Max designations.
  • Cook up and perform scheduled physical and cycle count inventories of assigned areas and works with the Supply Chain Management Leadership Team and department management to analyze outcomes to adjust inventory levels as appropriate.
  • Support all areas within the Supply Chain Management department to include: All other Par Locations, DME, mailroom and office support as needed. Manages all incoming and outgoing freight, delivery to departments ensuring proper signature is obtained in Lawson, and coordinating returns to vendors obtaining an RGA number and documenting return information in Lawson.
  • Act as responsible for entering receipt of tissue following established processes.

Requirements

  • Microsoft Windows
  • Microsoft Excel, Word at a Beginners Level is preferred
  • L Lawson ERP experience is preferred
  • High School/GED required
  • CMRP preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License-For Corporate Supply Chain Tech roles, valid driver’s license is required

Physical Requirements

  • Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Knowledge of inventory management and supply chain principles

Pay

The posted compensation range of $18.00 - $27.67 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Schedule

The schedule is Monday- Friday (0600-1430) with a shift that varies.
