About the role

The Supply Chain Tech oversees the daily management, receipt, and distribution of supplies and equipment for multiple departments throughout the hospital and outpatient clinical areas. This role is responsible for transporting supplies, equipment, and paperwork, maintaining inventory par levels, cleaning, and organizing supply rooms, and ensuring efficient operations within the supply chain. The technician will also assist in training new employees, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with safety and organizational standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily management, receipt, and distribution of supplies and equipment for multiple departments throughout the hospital and outpatient clinical areas.
  • Transport supplies, equipment, and paperwork, maintaining inventory par levels.
  • Maintain and organize supply rooms.
  • Ensure efficient operations within the supply chain.
  • Assist in training new employees.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and organizational standards.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Experience in a service-related environment preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to stand and walk 95% of the time and safely lift/carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, including ability to safely operate a pallet jack.
  • Proficiency in data entry, retrieval, and basic computer skills (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Experience with automated Materials Management Information Systems (MMIS) such as Workday MMIS, Par Excellence, or similar systems strongly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, staff, and leaders.
  • Able to follow general directions, make decisions, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Able to be flexible and available for on-call duties to meet department needs.

Qualifications
