Supply Chain Supervisor

About the role

The Facility Supply Chain Supervisor is responsible for leading, implementing, measuring, and directing all supply chain activities as directed by the Director of Supply Chain Operations or COO. Responsibilities include overseeing receiving, distributing, replenishment, and inventory management of all supplies within the facility, as well as reviewing and maintaining all Min/Max levels for storeroom safety stock and other stocking locations.

The Supervisor assists with coordinating, managing, and evaluating supply chain personnel, supervises on-site processing, inventory, and delivery of all orders, and creates a supportive environment for staff development and supply chain solutions. They raise and resolve facility-based supply chain issues and improvement opportunities, prepare schedules for on-site operations, and attend in-service presentations and mandatory education.

The role also involves demonstrating knowledge of occurrence reporting systems, utilizing them to report potential patient safety issues, processing lost charge reports, resolving discrepancies, and transporting and delivering legend drugs, non-prescription drugs, contrast media, and drug-containing devices relative to core competencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead, implement, measure, and direct all supply chain activities.
• Oversee receiving, distributing, replenishment, and inventory management of all supplies.
• Review and maintain Min/Max levels for storeroom safety stock and other stocking locations.
• Coordinate, manage, and evaluate supply chain personnel.
• Supervise on-site processing, inventory, and delivery of all orders.
• Create a supportive environment for supply chain staff development.
• Raise and resolve facility-based supply chain issues and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare schedules for on-site operations.
• Attend in-service presentations and complete mandatory education (e.g., infection control, patient safety, quality improvements, MSDS, OSHA standards).
• Demonstrate knowledge of occurrence reporting systems and report potential patient safety issues.
• Process lost charge reports and resolve discrepancies.
• Transport and deliver legend drugs, non-prescription drugs, contrast media, and drug-containing devices.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (Required).
• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Management, Healthcare Administration, or similar field (Preferred).
• Three to five years’ material management experience (Required).
