Supply Chain Specialist - Truck Transportation

Position Summary

The Supply Chain Specialist – Truck Transportation will drive continuous improvement in logistics operations with a focus on truck pricing for our package and refinery shipments.

Core Functions

• Cook up and maintain freight rate quotes to support current business and future business opportunities
• Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize route guides and lead strategic cost reduction plans across the logistics supply chain
• Identify and rectify issues with freight accrual and expense variances
• Maintain Truck P&L to highlight opportunities for improvement in pricing
• Analyze Freight Variance Reports and collaborate with Customer Service, Sales, Pricing, and Contract Team to maintain profitable freight revenue
• Maintain a thorough understanding of federal rules and regulations applicable to shippers and motor carriers to ensure compliance
• Generate and distribute reports from SAP, Tableau, and E2Open TMS

Skill/Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Transportation Management, Operations, Agriculture Economics, or related business field required
• One plus years of demonstrated ability in related field
• Ability to work under time constraints, multitask, and self-start
• Prior TMS experience a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, aiming to build data-driven business solutions and improve processes in the transportation and logistics areas
