Connexion Systems & Engineering is hiring for a temp-to-perm position in Lowell, MA.

About the role

We’re seeking an experienced Supply Chain Specialist to support purchasing, materials, and production planning for a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in manufacturing buying and planning and understands how purchasing, materials, production, and customer requirements work together to keep operations on schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily cycle count activities with the Materials team
  • Process purchase order acknowledgments and order confirmations
  • Communicate with vendors and monitor upcoming deliveries
  • Send weekly open-order reports and follow up on supplier commitments
  • Partner with Receiving to resolve problem orders
  • Expedite shortages and past-due parts and maintain expedite logs
  • Initiate corrective actions to address material shortages
  • Plan work orders for the shop floor using MRP/ERP data and customer forecasts
  • Adjust production schedules based on labor constraints
  • Collaborate with Inside Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, and Production to meet customer schedules
  • Review customer forecasts to plan material and production capacity
  • Run shortage reports and proactively address material constraints
  • Manage customer expedite requests and coordinate delivery dates based on material and labor availability

Requirements

  • 3+ years of manufacturing buying and planning experience
  • Experience working in a manufacturing planning and purchasing environment
  • High school diploma required; Associate’s Degree preferred
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems and Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Team-oriented, dependable, adaptable, and professional
  • Understanding of contract manufacturing processes and supplier/vendor relationships
