Supply Chain Specialist

About the Opportunity:The Supply Chain Specialist role is vital for ensuring the smooth daily operation of the organization’s supply chain. This position manages inventory planning, purchasing, production coordination, and inventory reconciliation, facilitating timely material availability and efficient collaboration with suppliers and manufacturing partners. The role supports maintaining operational continuity and accuracy across a complex supply chain network. 3. Responsibilities:• Manage inventory planning for raw materials, packaging, and finished products, maintaining safety stock and reorder points.• Support sales and operations planning (S&OP) by preparing data, running scenarios, and tracking follow-ups.• Develop and maintain formula-driven planning models and inventory tools.• Assist sourcing activities including cost analyses and supplier negotiations.• Maintain accurate supplier contract and pricing records.• Monitor supplier performance and manage supply risk.• Identify and manage aging inventory and coordinate write-offs.• Ensure invoice accuracy via three-way matching and resolve discrepancies.• Coordinate day-to-day operations with co-manufacturers, including scheduling and materials.• Build and maintain production schedules ensuring material availability.• Manage ingredient shelf life using FEFO principles.• Monitor production yield and scrap, investigating variances.• Ensure batch and lot traceability through all production stages.• Track production costs and identify variances.• Perform inventory reconciliations and cycle counts across manufacturing and warehouse locations.• Oversee disposal and write-off processes with appropriate documentation and approvals. 4. Requirements:• Minimum 3 years experience in supply chain, planning, procurement, logistics, or related operations; experience in CPG, food, beverage, or supplements preferred.• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, INDEX/MATCH or XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and scenario modeling.• Ability to build clean, formula-driven workbooks without hardcoding.• Experience coordinating with co-manufacturers, 3PLs, or contract packagers.• Strong analytical skills and comfort with inventory, production, supplier, and cost data.• Exceptional follow-up skills to drive completion of open items.• Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.• Clear written communication skills suitable for internal and external stakeholders.• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-evolving environment.• Hands-on approach with attention to detail. 5.
