Supply Chain Specialist

PeaceHealth is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist for a full-time, 1.00 FTE, variable position.

About the Role

Provides a variety of material handling support, including receipt, distribution, linen, inventory, and equipment management.

Responsibilities

• Assists with requisitioning, stocking, receipt, and distribution of supplies.
• Inspects and verifies quantities upon receipt of supplies.
• Processes documentation on receipt and distribution of supplies according to department operational procedures and policies.
• Records linen usage by department as appropriate.
• Monitors supply inventory; rotates products, checks expiration dates, and ensures proper labeling and storage of equipment and/or supplies.
• Prepares supplies, linen, and equipment for distribution and delivers supplies to departments.
• Fills daily requisitions, determines delivery method (truck, courier, etc.).
• May coordinate equipment management, including repairs, loaner services, and rental equipment to minimize service delays.
• Works on special requests and/or projects as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Computer experience (required).
• Previous experience with inventory control, receiving, and distribution (preferred).
• Experience in a hospital or medical office setting (preferred).
• Valid Driver’s License (required).

Skills

• Ability to work efficiently and responsibly in an environment with multiple demands and short time frames with minimal supervision (required).

Working Conditions

• Buyer/Products Coordinator: Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects. Consistently operates computer and other office equipment.
• Central Supply Tech/Inventory Clerk: Ability to move around the area. Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. Occasionally manipulates up to 100 lbs. with assistance to transport and stock supplies. Occasional bending, stooping, climbing, and reaching.

Predominantly operates in an office or warehouse/supply room environment.

Mental/Visual Ability

• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
• Close visual acuity required for preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $20.87 – $28.59 per hour. The hiring rate depends on education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, and other factors.
