Principal Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee daily vehicle allocation planning to ensure efficient use of fleet resources.
  • Review and validate daily vehicle allocation sheets and ensure alignment with operational priorities.
  • Ensure timely and effective coordination of transport requests and movement plans.
  • Maintain an updated list of approved vendors and service providers.
  • Oversee preparation and management of driver duty rosters to ensure continuous operational coverage.
  • Ensure fair and efficient driver scheduling, including shifts and leave planning.
  • Ensure drivers are properly briefed on routes, security measures, and movement procedures.
  • Oversee response to vehicle breakdowns and transport-related incidents.
  • Monitor corrective actions and ensure timely resolution to minimize downtime.
  • Oversee management of spare parts procurement, storage, and usage.
  • Monitor workshop activities (internal or external) to ensure quality and efficiency of repairs.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are properly documented.
  • Oversee safe storage and handling of fuel applicable.
  • Ensure all fleet and transportation activities comply with Project HOPE policies and procedures.
  • Implement and monitor anti-fraud controls related to fuel usage, spare parts, and vehicle operations.
  • Identify risks related to misuse, inefficiencies, or fraud and report to the Supply Chain Manager.
  • Promote transparency, accountability, and strong internal controls across all fleet operations.
  • Closely coordinate with program, logistics, and security teams to ensure safe and efficient movements.
  • Maintain transport trackers and provide regular updates to the Supply Chain Manager.
  • Prepare fleet performance reports and highlight key operational challenges.
  • Support audits by ensuring transport and fleet documentation is complete and audit-ready.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in logistics or transportation, preferably in humanitarian or NGO settings.
  • Strong knowledge of fleet management, transport coordination, and logistics systems.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising transport operations and field teams.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic is essential.
