Supply Chain Quality Control Technician - 2nd shift
About the role

As a Quality Control (QC) Technician in our Supply Chain & Logistics team, you’ll deliver critical performance tasks tied to Food Safety and Product Quality for beverage production. This role operates proportioning equipment, monitors production lines, and works closely with production and maintenance teams to drive line efficiencies.
Responsibilities
- Operate proportioning equipment and monitor production line(s) to ensure product quality and efficiency
- Perform tests and use special equipment to ensure package and product quality
- Operate all manufacturing equipment efficiently and safely
- Clean equipment and work area during and after shift
- Maintain clean work area through good housekeeping practices
- Follow process guidelines and escalate quality concerns to management
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams as needed
- Keep daily records of tests performed and results
- Ensure regular, reliable, and predictable attendance
Additional duties include:
- Audit compliance (e.g., monitoring, documentation, variance explanation)
- Product changeovers (e.g., CIP, flavor changes, sanitizing, setting formulas)
- Operating testing instruments (e.g., Carbo Qc, HPLC, Densitometers, Water Testing)
- Calibrating instruments to ensure accurate measurement
- Microbiology tasks (e.g., product sensitivity to spoilage, plating samples, counts)
- Reverse osmosis/water treatment systems (e.g., permeated technology)
- Cooling/glycol systems (e.g., troubleshooting and maintenance)
- Mechanical systems (e.g., general troubleshooting, cleaning, and reassembly)
- Sensory testing (e.g., taste, odor, appearance vs. reference sample)
- Basic chemistry (e.g., titrator, pH, dosing, graduated cylinders, mixing)
- Food Safety (e.g., AIB certification, operations prerequisite programs, UP lights)
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required; GED or equivalent preferred
- Mechanical aptitude preferred
- 1–3 years of manufacturing experience preferred
- 1–3 years of supply chain industry experience preferred
- Microsoft Office experience preferred
- Experience with testing instruments preferred
- Experience following standards of operations (SOPs) preferred
Physical requirements: Lifting/carrying items weighing 20–50 pounds repeatedly over a 10-hour period; continuous standing, walking, manipulating, and handling product samples while sitting.
Schedule
Second shift: Wednesday–Saturday, 2:30 PM–1:00 AM (with built-in overtime until 2:00 AM).
Pay
The expected compensation range for this position is $45,900–$73,250. Actual starting salary will be based on location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education.
