Dassault Falcon Jet in Melbourne, FL is seeking a full-time Supply Chain / Purchasing Manager to supervise the daily operations of the Purchasing and Materials group, drive efficiency gains, and collaborate with internal customers.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the daily work of Buyers and Materials employees, maintaining knowledge of all interfacing areas within the Company to ensure continuity of materials and paperwork flow.
  • Perform management responsibilities including hiring, disciplinary actions, performance appraisals, training, work assignments, vacation scheduling, and attendance monitoring.
  • Monitor sustaining activities, projects, and customer service levels (e.g., performance metrics) for materials and purchasing functions; report status, issues, and risks to management.
  • Negotiate contract items such as price, delivery, quality, and quantity with vendors and carriers.
  • Administer vendor and carrier contracts to ensure provision of agreed-upon services and products.
  • Research, support, and resolve invoice discrepancies, errors, and payment issues.
  • Review, revise, and develop processes and guidelines to support materials and purchasing functions.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for improvement.
  • Perform special projects related to inventory, vendor issues, and credit holds.
  • Develop the supply chain team and raise competency levels.
  • Actively participate in and support network projects.
  • Provide leadership to integrate continuous improvement in all areas of the Supply Chain.
  • Communicate company goals and objectives to staff and relay staff suggestions and concerns to management.
  • Prepare department capital and operating budgets, monitor expenses, and develop capital requests for budgets.
  • Prepare and present accurate and timely reports to management on areas of responsibility.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support for assigned personnel.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to General Work Requirements, observe company rules and regulations, including housekeeping and safety methods.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Business Management or Supply Chain Management.
  • Seven (7) years of experience in Supply Chain management, preferably in the aviation industry or a similar environment.
  • Three (3) years of supervisory experience and three (3) years of project management experience.
  • Working knowledge of computerized material and distribution management systems.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to create partnerships, resolve conflicts, and build high-quality relationships across the organization.
  • Proficiency in PC use, MS Office suite (including Outlook and Excel), and Corridor.

Working Conditions

  • Office and warehouse environment.
  • Occasional exposure to aircraft engine noise and fumes.
  • Limited exposure to seasonal weather.

Pay

The compensation for this position typically falls between $86,000 and $115,000 per year. This position is not eligible for overtime and may be eligible for a sign-on bonus or relocation assistance.
