Primary Responsibilities

  • Support overall procurement process for nuclear grade components and engineering services.
  • Work closely with other project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure all aspects of assigned projects are aligned and progressing smoothly.
  • Provide engineering expertise and technical guidance throughout the project/procurement lifecycle.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of project activities, including plans, designs, reports, and updates.
  • Monitor project costs, manage budgets, and report on financial status.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Ensure all project activities meet or exceed industry standards, NRC regulations, and company quality guidelines.
  • Regularly update stakeholders on project progress, challenges, and changes in scope.
  • Address technical issues and project challenges, providing solutions to keep the project on track.
  • Align procurement plans with overall program milestones, including design, licensing, fabrication, and construction phases.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, particularly for nuclear-grade components and safety-related equipment.
  • Lead competitive sourcing processes (RFI/RFP/RFQ) for complex technical scopes.
  • Cook up with construction management teams to ensure procurement schedules support site readiness and installation sequencing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • 2-4 years of experience in commercial or navy nuclear with a strong understanding of engineering principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and think critically to solve complex problems.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with U.S. NRC Regulation relating to commercial nuclear units (preferred)
  • SRO license or certification (preferred)
  • MS in Engineering (preferred)
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, P6)
  • Familiar with CAD tools (e.g. AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
