Supply Chain Project Leader

About the role

This position will be remote and will serve on a dynamic team supporting the Submarine Industrial Base (SIB) as you bring your expertise and analytical skills to make an impact on our military defense and the safety of our sailors.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex projects from initiation through completion, providing technical and managerial leadership, managing project execution, resources, schedules, risks, customer engagement, and contract performance in support of NAVSEA and Team Submarine.
• Work closely with SIB leadership, marketspace managers, supplier engagement teams, shipbuilders, program offices, and government stakeholders to transform complex supply chain data into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making.
• Support strategic planning, new project planning, and portfolio management.
• Ensure project staff are trained on customer processes, procedures, and standards.
• Resolve complex technical and programmatic issues using sound project management principles.
• Support proposal development, capture efforts, and follow-on business opportunities.
• Travel as required to support customer meetings, supplier engagements, and program reviews.

Requirements

• The ability to obtain/maintain/transfer a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Sciences, Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline.
• 8 years of experience in managing programs.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Experience developing integrated master schedules, project management plans, and risk management plans.
• Knowledge of project governance, quality management, and contract execution.
• Experience briefing senior personnel.
• Experience managing project staffing, resources, subcontractors, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, Teams, and SharePoint.
• The ability to travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• PMP certification highly desired.
