About the role
Eaton’s Electrical Sector, Critical Power Solutions (CPS) division is currently seeking a Supply Chain Project Leader to perform supply chain activities related to new product introduction. This role is Hybrid 3 days in the office, 2 days from home.
Responsibilities
- Support all SCM (Supply Chain Management) related activities for 3 phase, Data Center Power Distribution and Battery cabinets Pro-Launch projects
- Perform material/component risk analysis identifying high risk items such as new electronics or new technology requirements
- Engage with Engineering for any prototype requirements tracking to delivery to meet project plan
- Ensure all Activity Matrix activities are completed to ensure project timelines per the Pro-Launch plan
- Support all SCM BOC (Business Opportunity Calculations) defined by the project charter
- Aid engineering with any Capital Budget Requests related to tooling or project related capital requirements
- Facilitate vendor engagement in the design for manufacturability and design cost reduction where possible
- Provide gate review packages with risk analysis to SCM DGC (decision gate committee) voting member prior to gate reviews with recommended yes/no approval
- Manage the ESSP (Eaton Standard Sourcing Process) document for each project to track readiness
- Quote or engage Global Procurement Organization (GPO) for quoting/costing and supplier selection to ensure project launch readiness
- Make/Buy Analysis when needed
- Landed cost modeling when needed
- NDA (non-disclosure agreement), SAP supplier setup, working with Commodity Management on Master Purchasing agreements
- Aligning Invoicing related to project requirements with Finance schedules
- Develop Planning BOM’s (bill of material) to drive material based on the forecast with assistance of SCM and project management input
- Coverage of PPAP (production part approval process) requirements
- Coordinate with Manufacturing to ensure part delivery and part presentation fit the production plan
- Review and approve all project part related CO’s (change order) coordinating with vendors and production SCM to ensure latest revision level availability per the Pro-Launch plan
- Coordinate with supplier quality/production SCM and Vendors to ensure PPAP (production part approval process) requirements are covered per the Pro-Launch plan
- SIOP (sales inventory operations planning) engagement to highlight project inventory impact
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, Minimum 2 years purchasing or supply chain in a manufacturing environment, Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration, Three years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment, CPIM or CPM certification, SAP System Experience
- Skills: Strong communication and negotiation skills, Experience with digital tools and processes, MRP/Material Planning Systems (SAP preferred), General manufacturing practices, Purchasing practices/contracting methods & strategies, Ability to train peers or new purchasing personnel, Component purchasing and supply sources, Continuous improvement tools and processes, Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings and specifications
