This role will provide support for and participate in initiating, planning, executing, and closing all aspects of an assigned project. The candidate will organize information and requirements into an actionable plan that will lead to a well-executed client project and subsequent deliverables. The Consulting Manager will lead a team toward a defined goal with the ability to communicate in verbal and written form to all levels of client and internal executives, managers, and associates. You will build relationships that lead a solidified and cohesive team for project execution. Internally, a Consulting Manager will provide continuous improvement and standardization to the Program Management Office Methodology and Standardized Tools. As a PMO Consulting Manager you will lead a team (including internal and client team members) to develop and execute distribution center startups (greenfield and brownfield), transitions, expansions, decommissions, and other projects as needed. You will also lead a team toward a defined goal by becoming a trusted advisor and leveraging their ability to communicate in verbal and written form to all levels of client and internal executives, managers, and associates. A successful PMO manager will be an operational advisor, build relationships, practice emotional intelligence, and build a solidified and cohesive team focused on the project execution goal. What You Will Do Lead, plan, direct, and coordinate activities of designated Facility Startup and Automation integration projectsLearn about a client’s organization and work to tailor our proven Program Management methodology to best fit the needs of our customersDevelop a knowledge of a client’s end goals, facility design, automation, systems, their organizational culture, and how their team(s) functionsManage the development of descriptions of operations, engineered designs, business requirements documents, and other integration documents as neededFrom integration documentation, lead the creation of project execution documentation including project plans, project charters, and timelinesSupport the execution of integration documents from a conceptual understanding to an operational distribution centerLead the creation of ongoing project management documentation including status reports, risk logs, issue logs, roles / responsibilities, and meeting minutesCreate additional project tools as you see fit, and as requested by our clients, to best execute our customer’s project within their contextUtilize your knowledge of industry standards and best practices to fill knowledge gaps and earn the role as a trusted advisor to our clientsDevelop and coordinate client and strategic communication related to assigned projects and execute communication to all levels of a client’s organizationCreatively resolve project issues, proactively identify and mitigate risks, and manage change requests as they ariseUtilize the larger PMO team and larger enVista organization to tap into the collective knowledge to solve issues and provide real-time project feedbackCreate, prepare, maintain, and manage the project communication cadence to ensure a high level of project comfort to all project stakeholdersBuild consensus among multiple workstream leads, relative to project scope, task execution, staffing, and issue resolutionWork with project staff to develop work plans, assign duties, manage resource workload, and define responsibilities within project teamBuild relationships with project sponsors, stakeholders, and various project members to ensure that specified business needs are metAssist in the post-implementation analysis to ensure that the requirements are fulfilled and define lessons learned to work on continuous improvementAlways work toward providing continuous improvement to the established project management methodology and newly available project toolsPerform internal project management duties related to resource utilization, revenue projection, and ongoing project maintenancePerform related duties as assigned What You Will Bring Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration or a related field5+ years of Project Management experience executing complex projectsExperience managing complex projects that include multiple workstreamsAn understanding of the tasks necessary to startup a new distribution centerBasic knowledge of construction management and architectural drawingsA knowledge of distribution center automation and integrationKnowledge of operations and how to operationalize a distribution centerAn understanding of key distribution systems and their integration including WMS, WCS, WES, TMS, LMS. OMS, BI, and other emerging systemsAbility to work within ambiguous situations to create executable plansAbility to deconstruct existing project plans and reconstruct for new projectsA mindset of personal, professional, team, and organizational accountabilityWillingness and desire to never stop learning and growingStrong organizational skills with the ability to quickly synthesize informationAbility to establish solid relationships with Clients and Project TeamsAbility to bring a team together and lead them toward a common goalAbility to use emotional intelligence to bring a team together in tense situationsWritten, verbal, and visual communication skillsConfidence when communicating with all levels of an organizationStrong presentations skills: An overall ability to present and discuss strategies and technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and establishes an understanding for non-technical audiencesAbility to think three steps ahead of your project teamLean and/or Six-Sigma experience is desirableExpert knowledge on how to utilize SmartSheet, Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams, and SharePointExpected Travel Time – 40%
