About the role

BAE Systems is an organization dedicated to defending national security through cutting-edge technology. Our supply chain team ensures that the critical components and services needed to protect our service members are delivered with precision and excellence. We are seeking a Supply Chain Program Manager to lead strategic execution for select programs.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of program supply chain strategy, including procurement, subcontracts management, and planning to ensure alignment between functional goals and program execution.
  • Drive program success by acting as the single point of escalation for supply chain issue resolution, ensuring materials meet cost, quality, and schedule targets.
  • Manage strategic relationships with supplier leadership to manage key partnerships and ensure the delivery of all contracted requirements.
  • Optimize resources by allocating supply chain resources effectively and developing programmatic strategies that address specific business requirements.
  • Mitigate risk by monitoring market trends, supplier performance, and industry developments to anticipate potential risks and identify opportunities for the business.
  • Mentor and lead by providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to subcontract project management, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally by serving as an engaged member of the program team, advising leadership on all aspects of supply chain execution, and facilitating communication between functional teams.

Requirements

  • Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams to achieve operational and financial goals.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with internal stakeholders and external supplier leadership.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence across functional boundaries.
  • Ability to make decisions using sound judgment while complying with company policies and applicable federal regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of relevant experience in supply chain leadership.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
  • Experience working within the defense industry or with government contracting requirements.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of programs (program family) rather than a single project.

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $108,787 - $184,937
