About the role
Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Supply Chain Procurement Specialist in support of the AMS Division located in Linthicum, Maryland.
Responsibilities
- Source and procure commodities such as hardware components, COTS items, and electronic components in support of production and IRAD requirements
- Proficiency in the procurement process, including but not limited to price analysis, negotiations, policies and procedures, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
- Initiates Requests for Quotations and Proposals and receives same, analyzing proposed pricing from potential suppliers
- Works with internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate for the services or products required
- Identifies opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through targeted negotiations
- Review, reconcile and approve supplier invoices
- Interfaces and collaborates with Programs and other organizations within and outside of Global Supply Chain
- Plans, schedules, and arranges activities to accomplish objectives
- Possesses outstanding written and verbal communication skills and is extremely organized
- Ensures that appropriate documentation is provided to logistics/transportation & warehouse organization so that proper receipt is recorded
- Employs sound business practices and assesses supplier performance as part of follow-up activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in supply chain management, business and financial planning, contracts administration, project management, logistics, manufacturing
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP system

Pay
Primary Level Salary Range: $65,800.00 - $98,800.00
