Supply Chain Procurement Specialist

Position Summary / Responsibilities

Sources and procures goods and services from many suppliers to include software.
Initiates Requests for Quotations and Proposals and receives same, analyzing proposed pricing from potential suppliers.
Works with internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate for the services or products required.
Identifies opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through targeted negotiations.
Issues purchase orders.
Manages performance of purchase orders, ensures compliance with all public law requirements as well as company (and business) policies and procedures including import/export regulations.
Employs sound business practices and assesses supplier performance as part of follow-up activities.
Ensures that appropriate documentation is provided to logistics/transportation & warehouse organization so that proper receipt is recorded.
Provides support and clearly communicates solutions that are in accordance with defined process and procedures.
Reviews and approves supplier payment as needed.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum 2 years of experience in supply chain management or related fields.
• Experience with using Microsoft Office Products including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams.
• US Citizenship.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Sourcing and Buying Computer Hardware and electronic components experience.
• Experience with negotiation of terms and conditions.
• FAR/DFAR or government contracts experience.
• Experience with financial analysis or price analysis.
• Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Experience in multi-tasking in a challenging environment.

Pay

Annual salary range: $69,000.00 - $103,400.00

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector is seeking a Supply Chain Procurement Specialist for our Navigation, Intelligence and Connectivity Division. This is a hybrid, on-site position based at our Chantilly, VA facility.
