Supply Chain Principal (Principal Material Program Manager)

Job Summary

Performs supply chain and logistics functions such as material procurement, production planning, inventory control, outsourcing, vendor selection and distribution
Creates integrated processes among internal functions (e.g., operations, purchasing and logistics) and outside suppliers

Responsibilities

• Maintains and expedites the flow of goods, resources, and information required by the supply chain to ensure effective processes and organizational goals
• Collaborates with procurement, production, inventory control, distribution, transportation, and other functions to optimize the supply chain
• Identifies bottlenecks or problem areas and escalates or proposes solutions
• Works with suppliers to resolve issues
• May assist in the negotiation of contracts or service arrangements

Requirements

• Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 8-10 years' experience
• Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree, Discipline/Major: Business, Supply Chain Management or related discipline preferred
• Knowledge, skills & abilities: Contract Compliance, Data Analysis, Supply Chain Optimization, Supply Chain Planning, Compliance Monitoring, Supply Chain Planning Software, General Data Analysis Software

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
• Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
• Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

Travel Requirements

• Less than 25% travel likely.

Pay Range

$106,029.00 - $196,911.00 annually

Additional Compensation

• Hired applicant may be eligible to participate in the Company’s Gain Sharing Program.
