Supply Chain Planning Specialist Level 2 or 3
About the Role
Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) Sector is seeking a Supply Chain Planning Specialist to support the Common Products Delivery Management organization. This position is located at our Oklahoma City, OK campus and can be filled remotely or at any NG facility for the right candidate, with Central Time Zone work hours expected. Travel to regional supplier locations is required, up to 25% of the time. A U.S. Government Secret clearance is required, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Program Special Access after starting.
Responsibilities
- Act as the focal point between Global Supply Chain’s Procurement and Program, ensuring supplier On-Time-Delivery (OTD).
- Manage competing priorities, build strong internal and external relationships, and present timely, accurate information.
- Coordinate tasks in a high-pressure, short-turnaround environment with minimal supervision.
- Prioritize tasks and use trends/historical metrics to foresee risks in procurement activities.
- Own scope to ensure repeatable success.
- Partner with procurement teams to manage purchase orders and on-time delivery.
- Work closely with suppliers to identify non-supporting deliveries and their impact on schedules.
- Facilitate development of milestone plans and return-to-green plans.
- Resolve complex issues with cross-functional teams until closure.
- Utilize SDMS tool and S4/HANA to communicate purchase order status with suppliers and programs.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and present data to larger teams.
Requirements
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Secret Clearance and maintain Program Special Access.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- SAP (or any ordering platform) experience in procurement or inventory management.
Qualifications
Level 2:
- Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience in Logistics, Global Supply Chain, Project Management, Product Support, Training, or Cross-departmental coordination, or a Master's Degree.
- High School Diploma/GED with 6 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Level 3:
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience, or a Master's Degree with 3 years of experience, or a PhD with 1 year of experience in Logistics, Global Supply Chain, Project Management, Product Support, Training, or Cross-departmental coordination.
- High School Diploma/GED with 9 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- Data skills: vLookup, xLookup, PivotTables, Boolean, methods of aggregating large data sets.
- Office 365 tools: Power Automate, Lists, Power Apps.
- Understanding of Federal Logistics Info System (FLIS), Mil-Specs, Standards, Drawings.
- Experience with flight-worthy parts and acceptability.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral.
Pay
Primary Level (Level 2) Salary Range: $62,100.00 – $93,100.00
Secondary Level (Level 3) Salary Range: $77,000.00 – $115,600.00

Northrop Grumman considers factors such as scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and market conditions when determining base salary.
