Supply Chain Planner
About the Role
Join Singer Vehicle Design, where every detail matters in restoring and reimagining Porsche 911s into some of the most beautiful and respected cars in the world. As a Supply Chain Planner, you will ensure the fulfillment of production parts while eliminating risks to part availability and production impact. You’ll coordinate closely with Engineering, Procurement, Production, and Logistics to maintain smooth, cost-efficient material flow and clearly communicate potential risks and mitigation strategies to senior leaders. This role serves as the Supply Chain point of contact for the Production team, owning the delivery of commodities from purchase order initiation to stock.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage inventories, forecast sales and production levels for materials, and track inventory delivery performance and response time.
- Identify part supply constraints that may impact the production schedule and create mitigation plans with commodity management, procurement, and supply chain continuity teams.
- Execute risk management analysis considering past performance data, demand vs. supply, and lead time stack-ups.
- Serve as the tactical point of contact to support local plant Supply Chain needs, ensuring efficient execution of product planning and procurement.
- Analyze and confirm material requirements and inventory on hand or in transit to optimize overall supply chain planning.
- Ensure on-time delivery of purchased material at or below planned costs.
- Issue Purchase Orders to qualified suppliers at correct pricing and minimum order quantities (MOQs) per procurement’s strategic sourcing direction.
- Act as day-to-day supplier contact, conducting follow-ups, scheduling material pick-up/drop-off, processing RMAs, and ensuring supplier success.
- Provide bills of materials and other information to suppliers for proper execution of non-turnkey purchase orders.
- Hold weekly and/or bi-weekly open order review meetings with assigned suppliers to align on expected purchase order due dates.
- Build cross-functional teams and champion continuous improvement initiatives to meet or exceed cost, quality, and delivery goals.
- Proactively provide status updates on critical supply issues to the team.
Requirements
- Associate degree.
- Two or more years of related experience as a Material Planner, Production Planner, Buyer, Program Manager, Operations Lead, or equivalent.
- Proven ability to manage demand planning and supply planning within MRP systems.
- Bonus points for a Bachelor’s degree.
- Bonus points for prior experience in a rapid growth environment.
Schedule
This is an onsite position in Carson, CA, with a general schedule of Monday – Friday from 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
Pay
The starting pay range for this salaried position is $72,461 - $90,576 per year plus bonus. Actual compensation will be determined by skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
