Piper Companies is seeking a supply chain planner to join a leading manufacturer, packager, and distributor of over-the-counter (OTC) pharmaceutical products and consumer healthcare goods in Miami, Florida.

Responsibilities

  • Supply Planning & Inventory Strategy
    • Manage supply planning activities across a multi-site, multi-SKU network using Kinaxis Maestro as the primary planning platform.
    • Evaluate supply constraints, identify inventory risks, and develop recommendations to support customer demand and service objectives.
    • Maintain and optimize planning parameters including safety stock levels, supplier lead times, order quantities, and planning horizons.
    • Monitor inventory health and proactively address potential shortages, excess inventory, or service risks.
  • S&OP Participation & Supply Reviews
    • Support monthly planning cycles by preparing supply assumptions, inventory projections, and capacity recommendations.
    • Present supply chain performance, risks, and mitigation plans during Supply Review, Consensus Planning, and Executive S&OP meetings.
    • Develop reporting and KPI dashboards that clearly communicate operational performance and planning recommendations.
    • Escalate emerging risks and opportunities to stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Demand & Supply Alignment
    • Convert demand forecasts into executable supply plans while balancing inventory, capacity, and service level objectives.
    • Analyze exception messages, supply disruptions, and forecast changes to determine appropriate corrective actions.
    • Coordinate with manufacturing, procurement, transportation, and warehouse teams to resolve supply challenges.
    • Support short-, mid-, and long-range planning activities through scenario analysis and capacity assessments.
  • Data Analytics & Technology
    • Utilize Oracle EBS, Kinaxis Maestro, and reporting tools to analyze supply chain performance and support business decisions.
    • Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and planning models that improve visibility into inventory and supply performance.
    • Explore opportunities to leverage AI-powered tools such as Microsoft Copilot or Claude to streamline reporting, automate analysis, and improve productivity.
    • Replace manual processes with scalable, system-driven planning solutions whenever possible.
  • Planning Excellence & Continuous Improvement
    • Act as a key user and subject matter expert for Kinaxis Maestro by supporting enhancements, testing, and process improvements.
    • Document planning methodologies, procedures, and parameter changes to ensure consistency and compliance.
    • Identify opportunities to improve forecast accuracy, inventory performance, and operational efficiency.
    • Provide coaching and guidance to less experienced planners while promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and data-driven decision making.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in supply planning, inventory planning, production planning, or related supply chain functions within manufacturing, consumer products, or distribution environments.
  • Familiarity with planning platforms such as Kinaxis, Blue Yonder, o9, SAP IBP, or comparable systems. Previous Kinaxis Maestro experience is advantageous but not required.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large data sets, identify trends, and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as Oracle EBS, SAP, JD Edwards, or similar enterprise platforms.
  • Proficiency in business intelligence and reporting tools including Power BI, Tableau, Superset, or related analytics applications.
  • Interest in leveraging AI-enabled tools and automation solutions to improve planning efficiency and decision-making.
  • Working knowledge of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes, including participation in supply reviews and cross-functional planning discussions.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively engage employees at all organizational levels.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related discipline.
  • APICS/ASCM certifications such as CPIM or CSCP are considered a plus.
