Position Summary
The Supply Chain Operations Specialist is responsible for maintaining established stock levels in supply areas for assigned Hospital units, medical group locations, and off-site points of care. This includes but is not limited to counting current stock levels, picking tickets from inventory locations, organizing and facilitating Just-in-time deliveries to assigned units, and checking supplies for expiration. The Supply Chain Operations Specialist is accountable for the relationship with clinicians, providing real-time updates on product disruptions and changes.
What You Will Do
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of supply areas and stockrooms, including rotating stock and performing expiration checks
- Create, foster, and maintain relationships with department secretaries, nurses, and charge nurses and provide frequent updates on the supplies stocked in the department
- Use department phones/Vocera/pagers to respond to supply requests
- Utilizing Endeavor technology, ensure accurate data entry into handhelds, computers, and expiration logs
- Check email regularly to stay up to date with departmental and system wide updates
- Participate in departmental initiatives such as process improvement, implementations, or regulatory readiness
- Adhere to all Endeavor policies, infection control protocols, and Joint Commission environment of care and supply management standards
Qualifications
- Education: Highschool Diploma or GED
- Certification: Depending on the specific job duties, driver’s license may be required. Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP) is admired
- Experience: Prior experience in warehousing and/or inventory management in any industry is preferred but not required. Prior experience in a hospital setting is preferred but not required
