The Supply Chain Operations Lead at Pacific Defense is responsible for planning, scheduling, and controlling the flow of materials and products throughout the manufacturing lifecycle. This role involves leading stockroom, shipping, receiving, warehouse, and logistics operations to ensure material availability, inventory accuracy, efficient warehouse operations, and on-time customer deliveries.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain production schedules based on customer demand, material availability, and manufacturing capacity.
- Release and manage work orders to support production priorities.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and track material shortages.
- Coordinate with Manufacturing, Procurement, and Program Management to ensure on-time delivery.
- Support revenue and shipment forecasts through accurate production planning.
- Oversee all inbound and outbound shipping activities, including coordination of domestic and international shipments.
- Prepare and review shipping documentation and export paperwork.
- Monitor shipping performance and logistics costs.
- Identify opportunities to improve material flow, warehouse efficiency, inventory accuracy, and on-time delivery.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for logistics and production control processes.
- Assist with root cause investigations related to material shortages, inventory issues, and shipment delays.
Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Production Control, Materials Planning, Logistics, Warehouse Operations, or Manufacturing.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
- Strong understanding of production scheduling, inventory control, and logistics operations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of ITAR, CUI, and government contracting requirements.
- APICS CPIM, CSCP, or related certification.
- Experience with Sage X3, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems.
