About the Role
The Supply Chain Operations Associate manages operational functions related to material availability and inventory control for the General Motors LLP account.
Responsibilities
- Ensure timely shipment and delivery of purchased parts
- Act as the primary contact for suppliers
- Coordinate shipment schedules
- Develop containment plans to prevent production disruptions
- Arrange alternative sourcing or spot buys if needed
- Monitor truck loads to support production schedules
- Review part buffers and manage inventory adjustments
- Document exceptions and maintain accurate inventory data
- Perform other assigned tasks as required
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred
- At least one year of administrative experience; five or more years of relevant experience recommended
Skills
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Problem-solving and relationship-building abilities
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
