Supply Chain Operations Associate

About the Role

The Supply Chain Operations Associate manages operational functions related to material availability and inventory control for the General Motors LLP account.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely shipment and delivery of purchased parts
• Act as the primary contact for suppliers
• Coordinate shipment schedules
• Develop containment plans to prevent production disruptions
• Arrange alternative sourcing or spot buys if needed
• Monitor truck loads to support production schedules
• Review part buffers and manage inventory adjustments
• Document exceptions and maintain accurate inventory data
• Perform other assigned tasks as required

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred
• At least one year of administrative experience; five or more years of relevant experience recommended

Skills

• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Problem-solving and relationship-building abilities
• Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
