Supply Chain - Material Program Manager - MPM - Level 4

About the role

The F 35 Sustainment Material Program Manager (MPM) supports depot and site activation and material lay-in procurements. The role involves developing comprehensive acquisition and execution plans that meet programmatic milestones, tracking activities, and providing performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Align procurement strategy with depot and site activation needs
• Achieve timely material acquisition, delivery, and readiness for use
• Track and manage acquisition milestones from Request for Proposal (RFP) through Definitization
• Ensure successful completion of subcontract depot activation and “on dock to need” timing for material procurements
• Provide summary level performance metrics to the respective Program Manager
• Drive resolution of constraints and coordinate with supporting teams
• Serve as the focal point for GSC in program reviews and proposal approvals
• Apply solid understanding of GSC policies, processes, and compliance requirements
• Identify and remove roadblocks to enable successful GSC execution of depot activation and material lay-in requirements
• Support prime contract needs using various contract types (Time and Materials, Cost Plus Fixed Fee, Firm Fixed Price)

• Effective communication skills, both with clients and executives
• Ability to translate programmatic needs into actionable GSC actions

• SAP Experience
• Financial Acumen
• Sustainment life cycle experience
• Major Sub-systems procurement experience
• TINA Experience (PCA, Buyer, or equivalent)
