Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Organizational Development
    • Manage and develop a team including the Category Manager for MRO, Inventory Manager, and Supply Chain Analysts, coaching on stakeholder management, procurement execution, inventory discipline, supplier performance, and data-driven decision making.
    • Build the organizational structure, capabilities, and talent pipeline needed to support current operations and future growth, including hiring, onboarding, and performance management.
    • Foster a team culture focused on accountability, urgency, collaboration, and responsive support for field operations.
  • Commissioning & Plant Operations Support
    • Lead supply chain readiness for commissioning, startup, and ongoing plant operations, ensuring timely availability of materials, equipment, services, spare parts, and consumables across all facilities.
    • Partner with Commissioning, Plant Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering to develop supply chain readiness plans for new facilities including critical spares strategies, supplier onboarding, and site support processes.
    • Serve as the primary supply chain partner for operational stakeholders, aligning procurement activity with plant safety, reliability, uptime, cost, and schedule objectives.
  • Inventory Management System & Execution
    • Lead the buildout of Fervo's inventory management system and operating model, defining roles, governance, service levels, workflows, and handoffs between Supply Chain, Operations, Maintenance, Finance, IT, and site teams.
    • Establish inventory standards for item setup, material master data, storage locations, reorder points, min/max levels, cycle counting, issue and return processes, receiving, and obsolescence management.
    • Drive inventory accuracy, working capital efficiency, and material availability through strong controls, reporting dashboards, and consistent inventory practices across plants and warehouses.
  • MRO Category Management, Analytics & Continuous Improvement
    • Oversee MRO category strategy including sourcing, supplier management, contracting, cost control, and service level performance across maintenance materials, repair services, operating supplies, tools, and consumables.
    • Develop and monitor key performance indicators such as supplier on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, stockouts, purchase order cycle time, cost savings, and inventory turns, using data to identify supply risks, process gaps, and cost opportunities.
    • Partner cross-functionally to improve demand planning, material master data, warehouse processes, and ERP and reporting tools, driving standard work and continuous improvement across the operations supply chain function.

    Qualifications

    • Required:
      • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field
      • 10 or more years of progressive experience in supply chain, inventory management, MRO, procurement, or materials management
      • Experience supporting plant operations, commissioning, maintenance, manufacturing, energy, or similar operating environments
      • Strong understanding of MRO procurement, inventory management, materials management, and operational support processes
      • Experience building or improving inventory systems, warehouse processes, or materials management programs
      • Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle, with strong Excel and analytical skills
    • PREFERRED:
      • 3 or more years of people leadership experience within operations, materials management, supply chain, or procurement
      • History of influencing senior leaders and leading cross-functional teams in a high-growth or operationally complex environment
      • Self-starter with a track record of developing and implementing strategic supply chain initiatives
      • Strong analytical, critical thinking, negotiation, and problem-solving skills

      Location

      Fervo Energy is headquartered in Houston, TX. This position will be eligible for some hybrid work flexibility, but regular in-office presence at the Houston location will be required. Although office based, some travel to Fervo operational sites may be required.
