The Tesla Energy Supply Chain team is seeking a Supply Chain Manager (SCM) focused on PCBAs to support our growing industrial and residential Energy businesses. This role oversees the direct material sourcing and supply chain for PCBAs used in Tesla Energy Storage products such as Powerwall, Powerpack, Megapack, and Tesla Superchargers.
About the role
- Own and manage the Energy PCBA commodity strategy including supplier selection decisions, managing key supplier relationships, driving commercial cost reductions, and supporting new product introductions.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain Manager counterparts managing PCBAs for Vehicles to ensure commodity strategies align across all Tesla product platforms.
- Lead RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs in support of Tesla projects and lead supplier selection decisions.
- Drive negotiation for piece price and product development to ensure Tesla receives best possible pricing.
- Assess supplier capabilities and capacity to support Tesla’s current and future technical and demand requirements.
- Build and develop cost models to aid in commercial cost negotiations.
- Monitor current market conditions and technology roadmaps to proactively identify and address supply challenges and determine future business opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Own commodity strategy for PCBAs for Tesla Energy products including developing and maintaining relationships with strategic partners and identifying new suppliers as needed.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain Manager counterparts managing PCBAs for Vehicles to ensure commodity strategies align across all Tesla product platforms.
- Lead RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs in support of Tesla projects and lead supplier selection decisions.
- Drive negotiation for piece price and product development to ensure Tesla receives best possible pricing.
- Assess supplier capabilities and capacity to support Tesla’s current and future technical and demand requirements.

Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of supply chain experience in a fast-paced, highly fluid environment or other evidence of exceptional ability; experience in a manufacturing organization is strongly preferred; experience sourcing PCBAs preferred.
- Demonstrated, applied experience developing and managing a commodity including building cost models, leading contract negotiations, and completing supplier resourcing projects.
- Superior analytical skills and the ability to use data and metrics to justify business decisions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment to achieve business objectives.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and projects with various stakeholders.

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
