About the role
The Supply Chain Manager will oversee, plan, direct, and coordinate all materials functions for the Beaver facility, including inter-unit, purchasing, inventory control, production control, receiving, stores, and selection of traffic carriers for the plant.
Responsibilities
- Oversee procurement of all goods, supplies, and services to support plant production cycle requirements.
- Maintain awareness of company sales and market trends to forecast inventory levels and future material needs.
- Stay informed on commodity market changes to ensure material availability, competitive pricing, and alternative sourcing options.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers while ensuring delivery timelines meet production requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Lead the preparation of product specifications, manage bid processes, and negotiate favorable pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
- Oversee purchase orders and supplier agreements, ensuring compliance with company policies and prompt resolution of supplier issues.
- Manage supplier quality audit programs and collaborate with suppliers on product specifications and quality improvements.
- Develop cost-reduction and process-improvement initiatives within procurement to strengthen manufacturing support.
- Implement and manage inventory planning and monitoring systems to optimize material availability for production.
- Determine short- and long-term inventory control strategies to support manufacturing requirements.
- Plan, justify, and manage operating budgets and financial targets aligned with business objectives.
- Provide training, coaching, and guidance to supervisors and employees on equipment, processes, and work standards.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures by monitoring employee performance and addressing behavioral or procedural issues as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, systems, finance or equivalent.
- Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in a manufacturing purchasing or production control environment.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience managing a team.
Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship now and in the future.
- Master’s degree in engineering, MBA, systems or finance preferred.
- Previous supply chain supervision and leadership experience preferred.
- APICS / CPIM Certification preferred.
Skills
- Broad knowledge of a business and manufacturing enterprise, as well as computerized inventory systems.
- General understanding of accounting principles, industrial engineering, and manufacturing processes.
- Extensive understanding of laws that affect company purchasing policies, procedures, and decisions.
- Broad understanding of corporate and division purchasing policies and procedures.
- Ability to develop material plans that support sales and inventory objectives simultaneously for a multi-product plant.
Pay
The expected annual salary range for this role is $130000 - $190000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Schedule
This is an on-site position based at our Beaver, PA facility. Relocation assistance will be provided within the US/PR.
