About the role
Ameren is a leader in the energy industry, transforming toward more clean, renewable energy while serving local communities. This full-time summer internship (May–August 2027) offers hands-on experience within the Supply Chain team, working on sourcing processes, transformation initiatives, category management, and other supply chain activities.
Interns will be paired with a mentor and assigned a key project deliverable to present to executives at the end of the program. You’ll also support Supply Chain Group meetings, project delivery, and service goals.
Responsibilities
- Assist in various Supply Chain initiatives, including developing should-cost financial and economic models, supplier and market intelligence, and request for proposal development and analysis.
- Gather data for demand planning and process improvements.
- Support inventory and material processes.
- Complete assigned tasks with attention to timing, quality, and work character.
- Execute and present a key project deliverable to executives.
Qualifications
- Current student (graduate or undergraduate) in a business or technical program from an accredited college or university with a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4-point scale.
- Coursework or concentration in Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Math, or Data Analytics preferred.
- Completed coursework through the junior level with a GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
- Basic understanding of analytical and statistical approaches to problem-solving and financial accounting experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills, along with a high level of initiative.
- Previous experience in supply chain is a plus.

Pay
$21.00 – $30.00 per hour, determined by skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity.
